Starlight Starbright Fitting CF Into Your Life Everyday™ CD-ROM was developed for teens and pre-teens, ages 10 to 15, with cystic fibrosis as they begin to take on more responsibility for managing their disease.
The program was designed to help teens better understand core CF management principles, and features animated depictions of the lungs and digestive system in order to drive home key messages about adhering to lung clearance techniques, medications, enzymes and diet regimen.
Fitting CF Into Your Life Every Day also offers an interactive question and answer section, where young adolescents can find advice and tips from older teens with CF about challenges they may face.

"Fitting CF into your Life Everyday" is part of the Starlight Starbright Explorer Series®, which was developed as a tool for children to actively explore information about medical procedures and conditions in kid-friendly language. Children search for meaning about their illness from a very young age, and studies have shown that children who are provided with information cope more effectively than children who are protected from such knowledge. Interactive media can be helpful in conveying this information, as it provides a way for children to seek information at their own pace, see animations of what is happening in their body or what doctors learn from tests, hear the sounds of machines they will experience, learn from the experiences of peers, and learn coping strategies.
